About Jan Agri

Jan Agri graduated from KTH, the Royal Institute of Technology, in Stockholm in 1990 with a major in Industrial Marketing based on a course at the Stockholm School of Economics. He is Manager of the Sustainable Dairy Farming office at DeLaval International AB since 2008, where he serves as an internal expert on sustainability. Prior to joining DeLaval he was active in developing business solutions with a focus on making customers more sustainable. He has worked with companies like Electrolux and ABB and has also consulted at the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences and Kairos Future.

Reducing electricity consumption on farm – by management

As more and more dairy farms turn to automation for labour-intensive tasks such as milking and feeding, electricity costs increase. In this post I look at some farm management activities that can reduce electricity consumption and operational expenses.
